General Questions

For your first class, just bring yourself! We provide all the essential props including yoga mats, blocks, straps, and blankets. We recommend wearing comfortable, stretchy clothing that allows you to move freely. If you prefer to use your own mat, we have space to store it in our studio area.

We recommend starting with our Hatha Yoga classes, as they're specifically designed for beginners. These classes focus on basic poses, proper alignment, and breathing techniques. Our instructors are experienced in guiding new students and will offer modifications to suit your current fitness level. You can also attend our Monday 6:30 PM Introduction to Yoga class, which is specifically designed for first-time students.

We recommend arriving 10-15 minutes early to check in, set up your mat, and get settled. This allows you to relax and mentally prepare for your practice. Our reception desk opens 30 minutes before the first class of the day, and our studio doors open 15 minutes before each scheduled class.

We recommend having your last substantial meal 2-3 hours before class. For morning classes, a light snack like a banana or toast is fine. For other classes, avoid eating heavy meals 1-2 hours before practice. Light snacks and water are always okay. Hot Yoga and Power Yoga require a more careful approach to timing and what you eat.

Classes & Scheduling

For beginners, we recommend starting with 2-3 classes per week. This allows your body to adapt to the practice while preventing injury. As you build strength and flexibility, you can increase to 4-5 sessions per week. Even one good class per week provides significant benefits. Listen to your body and find a sustainable rhythm that works for your lifestyle.

Yes! We understand that life gets busy. You can freeze your membership for up to 3 months per year at no charge. For longer breaks, we offer additional freeze options. You can manage your membership online or call us to arrange a freeze. Your membership benefits and booking privileges are preserved while frozen.

We have a 2-hour cancellation policy. If you cancel at least 2 hours before class, you won't lose your credit. Late cancellations or no-shows result in the class being deducted from your account (for members) or forfeited (for single-class purchases). We understand emergencies happen - just call us and we'll work with you when possible.

Hot Yoga

Our Hot Yoga room is heated to 95°F (35°C) with about 40% humidity. The heat helps increase flexibility, promotes detoxification through sweat, and challenges your balance and focus. Classes are 90 minutes and include a specific sequence of postures. It's intense but incredibly rewarding. We provide towels and encourage frequent water breaks.

While Hot Yoga is challenging, it is safe for beginners when approached properly. We recommend attending regular classes first to build familiarity with yoga poses and breathing techniques. Our instructors are experienced in hot yoga and will offer modifications. Start with taking more breaks, drinking plenty of water, and never pushing through dizziness or nausea. Most students find they adapt within 2-3 classes.

We provide yoga mats and towels, but you may want to bring your own mat and towel. We recommend a water bottle (you'll need it!), a towel for your mat, and lightweight, moisture-wicking clothing that won't become heavy when wet. Avoid cotton as it absorbs heat. Many students bring a second towel for drying off between postures. We have changing rooms with showers available.

Studio Policies & Facilities

Yes! We have spacious changing rooms with individual lockers (bring your own lock), private showers with complimentary toiletries, and plenty of space to get ready. Hair dryers and basic amenities are available. Our facilities are cleaned and sanitized throughout the day to maintain a fresh, hygienic environment for all students.

Single class purchases and class packages are non-refundable but transferable. Memberships can be canceled with 30 days written notice. If you're not satisfied within your first week, we offer a full refund on your first month's membership. Special promotions and workshop fees are subject to different policies - please check the specific terms at time of purchase.

We offer Family Yoga classes for children ages 6-16 with adult supervision. Regular adult classes are designed for students 18+, though mature teenagers (16+) may attend with parental consent. We don't have childcare facilities, but our studio space is available for teens attending family or teen-specific classes. Check our schedule for family-friendly class times.

Our studio is fully accessible with wheelchair access, accessible restrooms, and designated parking. We have props and modifications for students with physical limitations, and our instructors are trained to provide adaptive options. We believe yoga is for every body and will work with you to create a safe, comfortable practice. Please let us know about any specific needs when you book.

Health & Safety

Yoga can be wonderful during pregnancy, but it's important to consult with your healthcare provider first. We offer Prenatal Yoga classes specifically designed for expectant mothers, taught by certified prenatal yoga instructors. These classes focus on safe modifications and poses that support your changing body. Please inform your instructor if you're pregnant so they can offer appropriate modifications.

We encourage students with injuries or limitations to work with their healthcare providers and let us know about any restrictions. Our instructors are experienced in providing modifications and can suggest alternative poses. We also offer Therapeutic Yoga classes focused on healing and recovery. The most important thing is listening to your body and never pushing through pain. We have a chair yoga option for those who need seated modifications.

We follow all local health guidelines and maintain enhanced cleaning protocols. Our studio has improved ventilation systems, and we ask students to stay home if feeling unwell. We have hand sanitizer stations throughout the studio and our props are sanitized between uses. Class sizes may be limited to maintain appropriate spacing. We continue to monitor health guidelines and adjust our protocols as needed.
